📏 Why We Use Internal Measurements
We measure the inside space of each muzzle because that’s where your dog needs room to pant, breathe, and move comfortably.
External measurements don’t tell you how much space is truly available inside the muzzle. Our internal measurements give you the most accurate picture of your dog’s fit.
✅ Understanding the Recommended Size Range
Each muzzle size comes with a recommended range for:

Length (MEASURE FROM THE WATER LINE TO THE TIP OF THE NOSE.)

Width (BE SURE THE MEASUREMENT IS TAKEN AT THE OUTSIDE OF BOTH CHEEKS, NOT THE WIDTH OF THE NOSE.)

Height ( FOR THIS MEASUREMENT WE RECOMMEND MEASURING WITH THE DOGS MOUTH CLOSED.)
Your dog’s measurements should fall within all three dimensions (length, width, and height) for the muzzle to fit properly.

Why Length Matters:
- Too Short: The nose presses against the end of the muzzle.
- Too Long: The muzzle pushes into the eyes when sniffing the ground.

- Panting Space: Ensures the muzzle provides enough room below the jaw for your dog to pant fully.
- Panting is crucial for dogs to regulate their body temperature.
- Why Width Matters:

- Too Wide: If the muzzle is too wide, it may wobble as your dog moves, causing discomfort.
- Too Narrow: If the muzzle is too narrow, it may pinch the cheeks, leading to irritation or discomfort.
A muzzle that’s slightly too long is safer than one that restricts panting or cheek movement.
🐕 Small Dogs vs. Large Dogs: Adjusting for Panting Room
The extra space needed for panting varies by dog size:

Small dogs need less added space because their faces are smaller

Larger dogs need more height to allow for a full pant
